3rd Vasakh Film Festival

Lahore May 20, 2010: (FCC) Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) Mass Communication department organize its annually 3rd Vasakh Film Festival in the auditorium of Peter Armacost Building of S block. The festival showcases award-winning South Asian documentaries on human rights and justice along with student productions to promote talent. Student productions from eight universities are being screed at the three-day festival this year.
In his opening speech, FCCU Rector Peter H Armacost said events like the Vasakh Documentary Festival help promote talent and engage students in healthy dialogue.
Following the screening of documentaries in two sessions, the house was opened for discussions with panelists, including Dr.Meenu Gur, an independent filmmaker and Muhammad Zahid Chaudhry, former FCCU professor. The panelists threw light on the theme of the films and the technical aspects of documentary making. FCCU Dean of Humanities Dr Waseem Anwar and Professor Saleem Abbas also spoke on the occasion.
